I am named after a beautiful Spanish island which I am yet to visit. My parents took me sailing around the world when I was just three months old until I was nearly six. Though I remember very little, that journey implanted the travel bug in me forever.
I have been away from home for almost 20 years and living in Europe for nearly 15 of those. During this time, I lived along the River Rhine and the Neckar in Germany and Switzerland. That long-term expat experience is what inspired me to start this blog.
